If you love yoga, hikes in the awe inspiring Pyrenees, fine food, luxury accommodation, wine tours and all that the stunning region of the south west of France has to offer - then you’ll love this soulful yoga retreat with Jessie Chapman. We stay 7 nights at 'Chateau Robert' (www.chateaurobertfrance.com), a private fully serviced luxury chateau originally built in 1790 and set on 35 acres in the beautiful French countryside between the towns of Biarritz, Bordeaux and Pau.

This exclusive retreat is based on dedicated yoga practice whilst also fully embracing all that the region has to offer. Each day is a rich and spontaneous journey. Feeling good from morning Vinyasa flow yoga we head off for hikes and other explorations immersing ourselves into the heart and culture of France. Most afternoons we wind down with restoration yoga and enjoy yoganidra (guided relaxation), meditation or chanting most evenings. Short core strength classes are also regularly practiced to cultivate inner strength.

Most meals are wheat, sugar & dairy free apart from the occasional treats in keeping with true French style. Food is organic where possible and sourced from local markets and the chateau’s vegetable gardens. There’s country roads to explore plus nearby local villages with plenty of shops to browse. You can also opt to treat yourself at an authentic thermal spa or head to the longest beach in Europe for surf or swim.
As well as the stunning grounds with nature trails, organic gardens and orchids, the Chateau has a 52 metre saltwater pool with shaded pavilions and tennis courts.

The retreat experience includes all yoga with Jessie Chapman, airport transfers from one of 3 nearby international airports, 7 nights luxury accommodation, all gourmet healthy meals, market tours with our private chef, healthy cooking classes and demonstrations, hikes into the Pyrenees, vineyard tours and wine tasting, daytrip to San Sebastian in Spain, explorations of historic nearby villages and lots more. We have our own private drivers and are free to roam…

*This is an exclusive retreat with a maximum of 12 persons. If booking twin share we put you with a same sex person. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, hand embroidered bed linens, sunset valley or sunrise garden views and elegant décor. There’s a laundry with washer and dryer for guest use, high speed internet and WIFI, TV and games room with library and lots of private areas and different lounge rooms to soak up the French atmosphere. Special dietary requests can be catered for.

about Jessie & the yoga: Jessie is an experienced and qualified yoga teacher who has been teaching since 1996. She’s Australia's bestselling yoga author of 4 yoga
books (HarperCollins Australia & Ulysses Press USA) and has developed the Radiance Yoga DVD series for at home practice. During the retreats Jessie teaches morning Vinyasa flow yoga for beginner to general levels, afternoon restoration yoga as well as yoga classes to build core strength, meditation and yoganidra.

getting there:
Chateau Robert (www.chateaurobertfrance.com) is easily reached by the international airports of either Pau (45 min), Bordeux ( 1hour) or Biarritx (50 min). If arriving from outside of Europe you can fly into Paris and make your way to the retreat by a short internal flight or train ride. Or you can fly first into London and then by plane or train to France. We can also assist you with flights. Full details on how to get there are emailed to you upon registering.
