Byron Bay beaches are close by and there’s plenty of time to relax around the freshwater pool, receive in-house holistic spa treatments and simply relax in the peaceful surrounds. We stay at Sangsurya Retreat, a beautiful 10 acre retreat a just minutes drive from Byron Bay and the beaches. Sangsurya features a large wooden floor yoga space, ozone swimming pool, a relaxing dinning and lounge with coastal views and in-house massage & treatments. Offering complete renewal for body mind and spirit, each day begins with yoga to develop a flexible, strong, healthy body, cultivating relaxed deep full breathing, inner peace and stillness. In the afternoons we gather for restoration and relaxation yoga going deeper into the experience of yoga's healing qualities. Yoga is taught by Jessie Chapman who's inspirational classes are designed for all levels from the beginner to the more experienced practitioner. Yoga assistants give individual adjustments in the classes and special attention is given to complete beginners. Jessie has been practicing yoga since 1991 and teaching since 1996. A complete spa menu will be emailed to you upon booking. check-in and check-out: arrival time on the first day is from 10 am onwards with a healthy buffet lunch available between 12 pm and 3 pm. The first yoga class and formal group welcome is at 4 pm - allowing you time to arrive, get settled into your room, eat well and perhaps have a massage or a swim before yoga. Due to flights people arrive at all different times in the day but aim to be there as early as possible so you have time to relax before yoga.
